About Us

AESI is the only school certified by Department of Natural Resources (DNER) to perform initial and refresher lead and asbestos related training in all disciplines recognized by EPA under MAP (asbestos) and lead programs. AESI was the first school in Puerto Rico certified directly by EPA to provide RR English/Spanish (renovations, repair painting) training.

Since its origin in 1992, AESI has been expanding continuously to include new environmental safety and laboratory services. Thru the years AESI, using its state of the art training facility, has trained thousands of workers/supervisors/inspectors.

Customers such as environmental consultants, architects, engineering companies, general/abatement contractors, pharmaceuticals, housing managers, government agencies are among hundreds of satisfied clients utilizing our services.

Established in 1992, AESI is presently the only accredited laboratory in Puerto Rico to provide Asbestos Bulk (NVLAP Lab Code 200051-0 program), asbestos fibers and metals in air (AIHA-LAP Industrial Hygiene program) and lead in dust, paint, soil and air (AIHA-LAP Environmental Lead).

Having an AIHA/NVLAP (Lab Code 200051-0) accredited lab under a direct supervision of a Puerto Rican chemist implies that:

1. Highest quality standards complying with international ISO 17025 required by all accreditation programs are used.
2. Fastest turnaround time (same day results) can be delivered that cannot be accomplished by any other labs.
3. Full compliance with the request of College of Chemists of Puerto Rico.
